Halloween Pumpkin Dishcloth Knitting Pattern

Materials:
1 skein cotton for background
1 skein cotton in orange for pumpking (will make 3 pumpkins)
Small amount of yellow yarn
Size 7 US (4.5 mm) needles

Gauge:
Not vital

Instructions
CO 50 sts.
Knit 3 rows for border.

Pattern Rows:
Row 1: K4, *K1, P1, repeat from * across to last 4 sts, K4.
Row 2: K3, P1, * P1, K1, repeat from * across to last 4 sts, P1, K3.
Rows 3 and 4: Rep Rows 1 and 2.
Row 5: K4, *K1, P1 repeat from * across

Begin graph with orange for 6 knit sts, K first st after pattern in the background color. Cont in pattern to last 4 sts, K4.

Rows 6-50: Cont in background pattern keeping last three stitches in garter stitch for border.
Rows 50-54: Cont in background pattern. End by knitting 3 rows and then BO.

I used a seed stitch background and knitted the pumpkin in St st. The stitches before and after the pumpkin were k on the RS and p on the WS.
