Free Knitting Patterns Using Odd Balls Of Yarn

Classic Stocking Cap
This traditional stocking cap has a very long tail and a braid and tassel. Knit it with odd balls instead of two color stripes.

Flame Stitch Afghan Afghan
Simple but elegantly beautiful afghan can be knit in the three colors shown or any other color combination.

Lengthwise Lace Scarf
Combines several different yarns in a lacy openwork pattern. Or knit it in one yarn!

Odd Ball Afghan
Reversible and easy way to use up odd balls. See a photo here.

Odd Ball Scarf
This scarf uses two groups of colors in a horizontal zig zag pattern. You only knit with two colors on every row. It's doubled and sewn together so it's super warm.

Ripple Afghan
The top and bottom edges of this easy afghan pattern are scalloped. There are 3 stitches on each end knit in seed stitch in one color so there is no need for finishing after the afghan is knit. Knit it in as many colors as you choose!

Pinwheel Cloth
Easy to knit short rows are the key to this beautiful pinwheel pattern. Use it as a guest face cloth or under a vase or candle. There are also many variations possible. Use a thicker yarn and it makes a great pot holder or hot pad. Make it larger and you have knit a great rug.

Short Sleeve Mosaic Pullover
V-neck utilizes an easy to knit mosaic stitch pattern in a number of possible color variations.

Socks For Children, Women, and Men
A basic, simple pattern written in sizes for men, women, and children. Use odd balls to jazz it up with stripes or knit the toe and heel in different colors. Knit at 5 stitches to the inch.

Striped Spiral Hat
Knit on two needles, this spiral hat for adults can be knit in any stripe combination you wish. You could use multiple colors, make each color as many rows as you wish...it's endless.

V-Neck Short Sleeved Odd Ball Sweater
Use your yarn stash for this pattern knit with left over yarn.

Vest Or Sleeveless Shell Pullover
You can wear this as either a vest or a sleeveless shell. It has a scoop neck in the front. If you plan to wear it as a shell, you can knit the back the same as the front if you wish for a scoop in the back as well.

Waffle Weave Cloth
Knit it in three colors as shown or one color. A simple woven look cloth pattern with a garter stitch border.
