Squirrel Dish Or Face Cloth Knitting Pattern

This knitting pattern is reversible; the reverse side shows the squirrel as a mirror image. On one side the squirrel will be stockinette and on the other reverse stockinette. The cloth has a seed stitch border.

Charts are read beginning in the lower right corner; Row 1 and odd rows are read right to left and Row 2 and even rows are read left to right. On Row 1 and odd rows, the white squares are purled and the grey squares are knit; on Row 2 and even rows, the white squares are knit and the grey squares are purled.

You can use this to add the squirrel to a scarf, sweater, or any other knitting project. It is 29 stitches and 45 rows.

18 sts=4 inches in St st

Materials:
Worsted weight cotton dishcloth yarn (Sugar 'N Cream, Lion Cotton, Bernat Handicraft)
Needles appropriate to yarn (about size 8 US or 5 mm)

CO 39 sts. Work in Seed Stitch 3 rows.
Begin chart, keeping the first and last 3 sts of every row in Seed Stitch and the next and previous 2 sts in St st, working the chart over the center 29 sts.
Work in Seed Stitch 3 rows.
BO loosely in pattern.
