Simple Star Ornament Knitting Pattern

Simple Star Ornament Knitting Pattern

Simple to knit 6-pointed star. Use a metallic yarn for sparkle or spread on craft glue and add glitter after you're done.

Use any weight yarn and needles appropriate for the yarn.

Instructions
CO 1 st.
P into front and back of this st - 2 sts
K1, k into front and back of next st - 3 sts
P3.
K into front and back of first st, k1, k into front and back of last st - 5 sts
P5.
K into front and back of first st, k3, k into front and back of last st - 7 sts
P7.
Cont in this manner until you have 13 sts.
BO.

With RS facing,in the center of each side of the triangle you've just made, pick up 5 sts.
p5.
k2tog, k1, k2tog- 3 sts
p3.
k2tog, k1 - 2 sts
p2tog.
Fasten off. With one tail, make a loop for hanging. Weave in ends on WS.
