Lace Scarf Knitting Pattern

This beautiful lace scarf is knit with a fingering weight mohair blend yarn, which allows the easy lace pattern to show off. The top and bottom edges are scalloped.

Kid Merino by Crystal Palace Yarns
2 balls - Color 4669 Blush Pink
28% kid mohair/28% merino wool/44% micro nylon
25 grams/.9 ounces
240 yds/219 meters
Size 9 US (5.5 mm) needles

Instructions:
Note: Knit with two strands held together throughout.

Lace Scarf Knitting Pattern

CO 43 stitches very loosely.
Rows 1 and 3 (WS): Purl
Row 2: K2tog, yo, *k3, yo, k1, (sl 1, k2tog, psso), k1, yo, k3, yo, (sl 1, k2tog, psso), yo. Repeat from * to last 13 sts, then k3, yo, k1, (sl 1, k2tog, psso), k1, yo, k3, yo, (sl 1, k1, psso).
Row 4: K2tog, yo, * k4, yo, (sl 1, k2tog, psso), yo. Repeat from * to last 6 sts, then k4, yo, (sl 1, k1, psso).

Repeat these 4 rows until scarf measures 55 inches or desired length. BO loosely on wrong side with purl stitches. Wash or dampen thoroughly and block (DO NOT STEAM TO BLOCK).
