Easy Striped Triangle Scarf Knitting Pattern

Designed by Barbara Breiter

Easy Striped Triangular Scarf
This easy stockinette triangle striped dress scarf has a garter stitch border knit as you go. The garter stitch border grows at a different rate than the stockinette section because there are more rows than stitches to the inch in stockinette while this does not hold true for garter stitch. Thus, the scarf is a triangle shape but it also naturally curves to fit the body. It also results in stripes that move in a diagonal direction.

It's knit with a sport weight yarn on large needles, resulting in a loose effect.
